Tamra Peters created the Resilient Neighborhoods Program in 2011 and has been running it since as a full-time volunteer. Resilient Neighborhoods is a Marin program that works to bring residents together to reduce their carbon dioxide emissions, prepare for emergencies, and make their communities safer and stronger.
Connie has a passion for being outdoors, picking up litter and does not mind getting dirty. She volunteers for our Public Works Department and the San Rafael Clean Coalition in her Neighborhood Park cleaning trash and invasive plants. Learn what motivates her to volunteer.
Friends Books opened its doors in May 2009. It is run entirely by volunteers who love books! All proceeds support the San Rafael Public Library programs and donated books augment the library collections. Customers looking for inexpensive used books enjoy a clean well organized bookstore in a central and peaceful location.
